There’s a lot of ad-speak in the official description of this pedal. I won’t try to put sound into words. The few online demos I saw for this pedal and simplicity made me want add it as an alternative to other fuzzes I have. Basically I saw this as the other end of the spectrum from something like the ZVEX Fuzz Factory. In that regard, I have not been disappointed. Plug it in and go. Play the pedal by playing your guitar, not fooling with a bunch of temperamental knobs. I love messing with everything a Fuzz Factory can do, but this pedal keeps me more focused on how my hands are touching my strings. Very liberating. Add in the solid build construction at a decent price and I don’t think you can go wrong with this pedal.

My primary amp is a Marshall vintage plexi. I made the mistake of plugging it in to it. Don't ever do that! It can only go into a solid state clean amp. Otherwise I don't regret my purchase from Lauren and the team from Death Cloud. Thanks.

I've heard others say that this pedal "lifts a blanket off of your tone," and that statement cannot be closer to the truth. A simple interface attests to the simple nature of the pedal, that being 9 different boost pedals, three for each frequency range, which can be used to further shape one's tone. The frequencies selected do just that: they provide extra "oomph" on the bass end, and the middle and treble boosts really help the notes ring out and cut through the mix. This one is definitely going on the pedalboard (once I can clear space for it, that is).

The pedal arrived on time and in perfect condition. I mentioned that I liked the purple but was open to whatever they had and I got a really sharp magenta/hot pink version with purple knobs. It is the best looking pedal on my board and I couldn't be happier. It is solid and does everything that I wanted it to do. Nice and clean boost all the way to super fuzzy distortion.
